Job summary

Baptist in Memphis, TN seeks a Medical Technologist to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. You will receive, identify, organize specimens, perform QC and maintenance, and contribute to lifelong learning and goal completion.

Responsibilities include processing, reporting procedures, maintaining inventory, and reducing errors through accurate patient identification.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as Medical Technologist.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• State licensure and/or national registration or certification required per Federal/State regulations.

• Performs quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance and inventory control.

• Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations.

Utilizes laboratory skills to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures assuring optimal patient outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned. Recommends and evaluates technical methods and procedures. Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations. Works assigned shifts and subject to overtime and call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

• State Licensures and/or National registration or certification in concordance with current Federal and/or State Regulations.

Licensure
