Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health in Mississippi seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for assigned shifts, with overtime and callbacks as required.

Responsibilities include receiving and prioritizing specimens, performing tests, quality control, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Medical Technology (MT) from an accredited program.
• National certification in concordance with current Federal and/or State regulations (ASCP or equivalent).
• Clinical laboratory experience required.
