Job summary

Baptist is seeking a Laboratory Professional in Tennessee to perform and report clearly defined laboratory procedures nursing optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for assigned shifts, overtime, and callbacks as required, contributing to accurate test processing and reporting across the lab team.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited program, national certification, and basic computer literacy.

• Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens to ensure accurate and timely test processing.
• Performs and reports requested laboratory procedures.
• Performs quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance and inventory control.
• Evaluates positive patient identification to reduce analytical and post-analytical errors.
• Assesses, evaluates and draws appropriate conclusions.
• Supports lifelong learning.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Provide instruction for personnel and medical technology students, as required.
