Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Mississippi is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures across assigned shifts, with overtime and on-call as required, and to support quality patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, national certification, computer literacy, and ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have clinical laboratory experience.
• Bachelor's degree in MLS/MT from an accredited program.

• Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens to ensure accurate and timely test processing.
• Performs and reports requested laboratory procedures.
• Performs quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance and inventory control.
• Evaluates positive patient identification to reduce analytical and post-analytical errors.
• Assesses, evaluates and draws appropriate conclusions.
• Supports life long learning.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Provide instruction for personnel and medical technology students, as required.
