Position Overview
Zelis is looking for a Technologist, Marketing Automation to join our SmartShopper Member Marketing team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, a strong technical foundation, and a passion for digital marketing execution.What you'll do:
Partner with the Technologist, Marketing Automation to build and deploy email and SMS marketing campaigns and member journeys using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Coordinate with the member marketing and Salesforce teams to support development requests, including platform connections and marketing automation setup.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as business operations, product management, product design, data, and client performance to align campaign execution with business needs.
Assist with day-to-day administration of the Marketing Cloud environment, including data quality checks, subscriber management, user access, and integrations.
Contribute to technical discovery and QA for campaigns and multi-channel journeys, helping ensure smooth execution.
Help implement solutions for monitoring inbox reputation and support deliverability best practices.
Assist in developing and executing test-and-learn strategies, and track performance metrics to improve engagement and conversions.
Support reporting efforts and use dashboards to monitor user experience and optimize campaign ROI.
Provide input and support for landing page optimization with a focus on member engagement.
Help manage vendor communications and assist with procurement coordination as needed.
Support consistent UTM tagging and campaign tracking across channels.
Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and digital marketing best practices in all campaign materials.
What you'll bring to Zelis:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent professional experience (required).
3+ years of experience supporting digital products and marketing technology solutions in a B2C and/or B2B2C environment.
Practical experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools such as Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Web Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Audience Builder; proven experience with AMPscript and SQL.
Solid understanding of digital marketing principles, including asset creation, optimization, and alignment with brand standards.
Hands-on experience building HTML email templates (with dynamic content), launching SMS campaigns, and supporting landing page updates.
Experience executing multi-channel journeys, including email and SMS touchpoints.
Familiarity with Marketing Cloud integrations (FTP, API, SSJS, MC Connect) and the Salesforce ecosystem.
Ability to contribute creative, solution-oriented thinking to marketing execution challenges.
Working knowledge of data structures, data mapping, and subscriber data management.
Experience monitoring performance metrics and reporting on campaign results; comfortable with email/SMS KPIs and performance trends.
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work independently within a collaborative team environment.
Skilled in research, troubleshooting, and practical problem-solving.
Clear and effective communication skills-both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented, organized, and highly collaborative in working with cross-functional teams.
Experience with PowerBI is nice to have.
Ability to support Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) optimization.
Working knowledge of building components and managing creative in Figma.
