Job summary

Baptist in Memphis, TN seeks a Technologist-Echocardiographer Registered to perform imaging procedures aligned with radiology standards. The role supports diagnosis and treatment by delivering quality echocardiography services in the Echocardiogram Laboratory.

Preferred applicants have recent Sonographer experience and hold ARDMS/CCI registration or are awaiting certification, with BLS obtained within 14 days of hire date.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as a Sonographer is preferred.
• Proof of ARDMS/CCI registry or eligibility and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of radiologic principles and uses appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures.
• Develops and implements procedure plans per BMG protocols.
• Completes documentation to comply with BMG policies.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in a safe condition.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure patient care standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Job Description

Job Summary: Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan. Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established BMG protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with BMG policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in BMG and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

SPECIFICATIONS

Experience

• Preferred/Desired: Recent experience as a Sonographer.

Education

• Minimum Required: ARDMS and/or CCI or new graduate who is waiting to take registry. Proof of registry/certification required by primary source must be available within 12 months of graduation. BLS certification required within 14 days of hire date.

Special Skills

• Minimum Required: Basic computer literacy skills.

Licensure

• Description: ARDMS/CCI or new graduate who will obtain required registry/certification with 12 months of hire.; BLS WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE
