Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health in Memphis, TN seeks a Radiologic Sonographer to perform imaging procedures, adhere to radiology practice standards, and aid in diagnosis and treatment. You will develop and implement patient-specific plans, maintain equipment, and ensure safety for patients and staff.

Preferred candidates have ARDMS/CCI credentials or are pending registry, plus BLS within 14 days of hire. Basic computer literacy is required to document and participate in improvement activities.

Qualifications

• ARDMS and/or CCI registry or waiting graduate; proof within 12 months of graduation.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Basic computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of radiologic principles/theory and uses appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures.
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plans following BMG protocols.
• Completes required documentation to comply with policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment and rooms in a neat, safe condition for patient and staff safety.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure care meets established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Job Summary: Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established BMG protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with BMG policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in BMG and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

SPECIFICATIONS

Experience

• Preferred/Desired: Recent experience as a Sonographer.

Education

• Minimum Required: ARDMS and/or CCI or new graduate who is waiting to take registry. Proof of registry/certification required by primary source must be available within 12 months of graduation. BLS certification required within 14 days of hire date.

Special Skills

• Minimum Required: Basic computer literacy skills.

Licensure
