Job summary

Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall is seeking a per diem Echocardiography Technologist to perform echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography at the Newburgh and other campuses as needed.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI registration, formal ultrasound training, and at least one year of echocardiography experience. You will participate in On-Call rotations and collaborate with the Radiology team to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS/CCI registered sonographer.
• Formal training in diagnostic ultrasound.
• One year of echocardiography technologist experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography examinations at both campuses as needed.
• Ensure high-quality patient care and proper equipment evaluation and maintenance.
• Prepare reports, files, and tapes; set up procedure rooms; be available for periodic On-Call duties as per Radiology Policy.

Position Summary:

Performs all required echocardiography and Transesophageal echocardiography examinations at both campuses when necessary and assuring high quality patient care at all times. Responsibilities to include equipment evaluation, maintenance, procedure room set up, report, file, and tape preparation. Must be responsible for periodic On-Call duties and be available to respond within the timeframe outlined in the Radiology Policy and Procedure Guideline.

Education/Training

Technologist must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Formal training in diagnostic ultrasound. ARDMS/CCI registered sonographer.

Experience

One year experience as an echocardiography technologist required. A working understanding and knowledge of equipment and physics of ultrasound/echocardiography.
