Job summary

Montefiore New Rochelle is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform a full range of ultrasound modalities, including transthoracic and stress echocardiography, with responsibilities across hospital and outpatient echo labs. The role requires an RDCS or RDCS, at least 6 months hospital Echo experience, a high school diploma, BLS, and ongoing CE credits.

Proficiency with Philips systems and Epic is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer with hospital Echo experience.
• HS diploma or GED required; CAAHEP program preferred.
• BLS certified; 30 CE credits every 3 years to maintain status.
• Knowledge of ultrasound systems including Philips iE33, Epiq, CX-50, SONOS 7500/5500.
• Proficient in Epic, LifeImage, Celera data entry; strong ultrasound physics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic and stress echocardiography including contrast.
• Assist in transesophageal echo and echo-guided invasive procedures.
• Prepare preliminary findings and study transmittal.
• Cover multiple outpatient sites and hospital echo labs.

Responsibilities include preparation of preliminary findings reports, study transmittal and Perform Bedside Echoes and coverage of various outpatient satellite sites and hospital echo labs. **SCHEDULE:** 8:30 AM-5 PM. Days vary. This position will require coverage at other hospital locations and outpatient practices per operational need. **EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:*** Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS OR RDCS) with at least 6 months hospital experience as an Echo tech in an acute care setting required.* High School Diploma/GED required.* Completion of CAAHEP certified cardiovascular sonography program preferred.* Must be BLS certified.* Requires 30 CE credits per three year rolling triennium to maintain active registered status.* Knowledge of various Ultrasound Systems including, Phillips iE33, Phillips Epiq, Phillips CX-50 and SONOS 7500/5500* Knowledge of PC Computer for data entry, Celera, LifeImage, and Epic applications* Extensive knowledge of the principles of ultrasound physics and instrumentation of ultrasound systems, cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathology* Knowledge of exercise stress echo and pharmacological stress echo, transesophageal echo, and echo guided invasive procedures and sterile techniques and procedures required* Proficiency in operation of PC and use of Xcelera and Apollo
