Job Summary

A diagnostic imaging technologist performs all required exams in diagnostic radiology. Insures high quality patient care and adequate radiation protection at all times. When needed, he/she is required to provide coverage for both Newburgh and/or Cornwall campuses of SLCH.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an AMA approved school for Diagnostic Radiology Technology.
• 1‑3 years as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• High degree of knowledge and understanding in services and technology.
• ARRT certification – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist – New York State Department of Health's Bureau of Environmental Radiation Protection.
• Temporary Permit to practice Diagnostic Radiography acceptable for new graduates (permit valid up to 180 days after graduation).
