Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with or perform installation, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground and fire pumps.
• Assist with or perform fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing.
• Document deficiencies/impairments noted during inspections or service work and report them on-site.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed.
• Generate reports within Siemens digital tools.
• Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site with customer signature.
• Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operations and assist with training.

As a Fire Sprinkler Technician Trainee / Helper, you will:

• Assist with or perform installation, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground and fire pumps.
• Work well with others, take ownership, be a team player, and act with integrity.
• Assist with or perform installation, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground and fire pumps.
• Assist with or perform fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing.
• Properly document deficiencies/impairments noted during inspections or service work and follow required process of reporting deficiencies while on-site.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed.
• Generate reports within Siemens digital tools.
• Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site to include customer signature.
• Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operations and assist with training.
• Work the on-call rotation and overtime when needed.
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• This position reports to the local Supervisor and takes direction from a mentor and Lead Technician.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED
• Must be mechanically and/or electrically inclined
• Must be willing and able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
• Must be able to demonstrate:
• The ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our technicians and customers
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company
• Willingness and ability to follow and maintain highly structured schedules
• Customer-facing and customer service skills
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
• Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program

Preferred Qualifications:

• NICET I Inspection and testing of water based systems

The pay range for this position is $42,340 - $72,583 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
