Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is hiring entry level Automotive Technicians / Apprentice Technicians at multiple CA locations. You’ll receive paid manufacturer training and hands-on coaching to grow toward Certified Master Technician.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Passion for automotive industry and willingness to learn.
• Safe, reliable and trainable with strong work ethic.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work with a team.
• Basic computer skills and good communication.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tires, fluids).
• Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and basic brake service.
• Assist with tire installation, balancing and repairs.
• Assist with battery testing and diagnostics as training progresses.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and a clean workspace.
• Collaborate with experienced technicians to deliver quality work.

Entry Level Automotive Technician / Apprentice Technician

Responsibilities

As an Entry Level Technician, you'll work alongside experienced professionals while developing your skills performing:

• Routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid services
• Multi-point vehicle inspections
• Brake inspections and basic brake service
• Tire installation, balancing, and repairs
• Battery testing and replacement
• Vehicle diagnostics using Toyota factory equipment (as training progresses)
• Maintaining accurate repair documentation
• Keeping a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Working as part of a collaborative, high-performing service team
• Delivering quality workmanship that exceeds customer expectations

Qualifications
