Job summary

Southern Team Automall in Christiansburg, VA is seeking full-time, experienced automotive technicians to join our Nissan service team. The Technician - Skill Level A role requires hands-on repair work, diagnostics, and customer communication to keep vehicles safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician (Nissan preferred).
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have valid driver's license with clean record (no DUI or reckless driving).

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance per repair order efficiently and accurately.
• Test drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor regarding additional services.
• Provide time estimates for repairs and complete warranty work per manufacturer specs.
• Conduct routine inspections and continuous learning of new technologies.

Education

Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

We are seeking full-time, experienced, qualified automotive technicians. Candidates must be at least 20 years of age and have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record with no DUI or reckless driving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Routine inspections/maintenance
• Full automotive troubleshooting and testing
• Continuously expanding your knowledge of new technologies and practice

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician (Nissan preferred)
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Fast, eager learner and team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (no DUI or reckless driving).
• Must be at least 20 years of age
• ASE Certifications Heavily Preferred
• Must have tools
• Must have great mechanical skills
