Job summary

Southern Team Automall in Christiansburg, VA is seeking full-time automotive technicians with Nissan experience to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. You will test components, communicate with service advisors, and provide accurate repair estimates in a fast-paced, customer-focused shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician (Nissan preferred).
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Fast, eager learner and team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (no DUI or reckless driving).
• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• ASE Certifications heavily preferred.
• Must have tools.
• Must have great mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Routine inspections/maintenance.
• Full automotive troubleshooting and testing.
• Continuously expanding your knowledge of new technologies and practice.
