The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides short-term supports for designated settings and/or students on school campuses. Related supports include information gathering for the school problem-solving team, direct instruction and intervention with students, transferring service delivery to site-based personnel, and fading of goals and necessary services.

A high school diploma or GED. Completion of 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician coursework, annual competency assessment, and pass the RBT certification examination.
One (1) year of experience in providing behavior or instructional support to students with disabilities preferred.
Registered Behavior Technician credential under the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Writes routine reports and correspondence. Speaks effectively before groups of individuals.
Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, and percent and draws and interprets bar graphs.
Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deals with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of relevant and current computer software programs.
Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, crawling, handling, keyboarding. Lifting Demands: Up to 55 pounds.
Both dominant and non-dominant hand; overhead.
Noise intensity 5: Very Loud.
This position requires traveling to various school sites, work locations, and/or community organizations throughout the district.
