Job summary

Easterseals Southwest Florida is seeking a Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 ABA-based behavioral interventions for children with special needs and support to their families. The role operates under the direction of the Director of Nursing/Nursing Supervisor and requires RBT certification or enrollment within 60 days.

Pediatric experience and a background check are preferred. Responsibilities include data collection, progress notes, family consultation, compliance

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • RBT certification preferred or actively enrolled in a 40-hour RBT course, or complete RBT Certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current registration with the BACB.
  • Assist the BCBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting.
  • Collect data on all programming and write progress notes.
  • Advise and consult with the family and other agency personnel.
  • Participate in in-service programs and present in-service programs as assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Participate with all other health care personnel in patient care planning.
  • With the BCBA, instruct patients and family/significant others in home programs and protocols.
  • Attend all staff meetings and patient care conferences as scheduled.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Instructions for the patient/family in-home program are documented in the medical record notes.
  • Observe confidentiality and safeguard all patient-related information.
  • Immediately report to the BCBA/Therapy Supervisor any patient incidents/variances, or complaints.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.
  • Work Week: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; occasional Saturday and evening work will be required.
  • Guarantee work week 30 hours 1-2 established locations

JOB SUMMARY:

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides 1:1 behavioral intervention service to children with special needs and support to their families. RBTs are responsible for implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs as directed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

High School Diploma, or GED

Required Credentials:

Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification preferred or actively enrolled in a 40-hour RBT course, or complete RBT Certification within 60 days of employment. Pediatric experience preferred.

All employees must pass a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.
