Position Summary

Walmart is expanding its workforce and is actively recruiting for a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you have relevant experience, you are invited to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, welcoming environment.

What you'll do

Support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities, utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, and other equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass MVR
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

• Maintain and repair Walmart refrigeration and HVAC equipment
• Use work order system to document repair activities
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities and equipment
• Complete safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and on ladders

Compensation

Salary ranges from $23.00 to $45.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Additional premiums may apply. Eligible for bonus incentives.

Minimum Qualifications

Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and controls, or 4 years of experience in similar fields. EPA Certification for refrigerant handling required.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program, or a Mechanical license in the job location’s city/state.
