Position Summary

Walmart is expanding our workforce and actively recruiting for a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you have relevant experience, join our fast-paced, welcoming environment to support and oversee repair of refrigeration HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities.

What you'll do

Support and repair Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, and other equipment. Use the work order management system to document activities, respond promptly to emergency maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Be able to lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and move ladders as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• EPA Type I/Type II or Universal Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

• Maintain and repair refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets
• Manage repair work orders and document activities
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls
• Diagnose issues through inspection, operation, or testing
• Complete safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights regularly

Compensation

Compensation packages are based on experience, skills, and qualifications, with eligibility for bonus incentives. The hourly wage range is $23.00-$45.00, with potential premiums based on specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications

Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and controls, or 4 years of relevant experience. EPA Type I/Type II Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program, or a Mechanical license in the job location's city/state.
