As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will involve supporting and overseeing repairs of refrigeration and HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities, utilizing your commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills, and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart's safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and move up and down ladders frequently.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification with 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years of experience in similar fields. EPA Type I/Type II Certification for refrigerant handling.

Preferred Qualifications...

Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program, or a Mechanical license in the local city/state where the job is located.
