Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department: Step Down Intermediate Care Unit
  • Schedule: FT, Days
  • Hospital: Mercy Hospital
  • Location: Oshkosh, WI
What You Will Do

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in the assigned area.

  • Aid with entry and exit of patients.
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Report changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Document necessary records.
  • Keep patient rooms clean and maintain medical equipment.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date; Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from Wisconsin, with eligibility to work in a hospital setting. Additional certifications may be required by specific locations.

Education:

  • High school diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience. Note: Professional licensure/certification can substitute for education or experience if applicable.
