Job summary

Evonik Corporation in Wichita is seeking an entry-level operator to control or operate machinery along the production line, including packaging and related steps. The role requires mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts.

You will follow plant procedures, monitor equipment, document training with instructors, and support maintenance and engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable plant operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of plant equipment in area of training.
• Compliance with all Evonik, state and federal regulations at all times.
• Develop understanding of plant procedures, processes, and equipment in area of training.
• Develop ability to identify issues with process equipment and process parameters in area of training.
• Maintain accurate training documentation with instructor as new processes and procedures are learned.
• Resolve issues with processes and equipment with support from more senior operation technicians.
• Support maintenance department as needed to repair equipment and ensure reliable operation of plant assets.
• Communicate Process and controls issues with area engineers and assist with data acquisition.
• Assist technicians that are more senior and develop hands on knowledge of operating procedures and equipment.
• Support basic safety process including maintaining compliance with any required training.
