Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated Lube Tech to join our Ames Mine team in Ames, IA. The role focuses on mechanical repairs for diesel-powered mobile equipment, including troubleshooting, rebuilds, and preventive maintenance on CAT, Komatsu and Volvo quarry/construction gears.

The ideal candidate brings mechanical aptitude, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of related experience in mechanical repair.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Volvo) and diesel engines.
• Perform mechanical repairs, rebuilds, removal and installation of parts, and preventative maintenance.
• Weld, cut, and perform minor fabrication on equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and work in a 40+ hour/week surface mine environment.

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated Lube Tech to join our team. The individual hired in this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.
