Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated Lube Tech to join our Ames Mine in Ames, IA. The role involves performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment, troubleshooting and repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance across CAT, Komatsu, and Volvo equipment.

It requires 40+ hours weekly in a surface mine setting and a valid driver's license. Ideal candidates have related experience and the ability to work with various hand and power tools, with emphasis on safe operations

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• A valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Safe work practices at all times.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu and Volvo quarry/construction equipment/diesel engines.
• Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment.
• Other duties as assigned
