Job Description

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he will also oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform work as outlined on the repair order.
2. Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
3. Examine the vehicle to determine if additional service work is necessary.
4. Document work performed.
5. Compensate for supervising any apprentice technicians.
6. Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
7. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
8. Maintain a high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).
9. Possess ASE or manufacturing training.
10. Have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
11. Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
12. Be authorized to work in the USA.
13. Perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
14. Pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug test.
