Job summary

Qualifications

  • Required education, skills, and experience to be successful: Preferred 1-2 years of plumbing experience.
  • Preferred high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
  • Ability to use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, and screw guns.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Successful completion of the drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Cutting and threading pipes using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe threading machine.
  • Bend pipes to the required angle by using a pipe bending machine or by bending by hand.
  • Join pipes by using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints.
  • Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
  • Fill pipe systems with water or air and read pressure gauges to check for system leaks.
