Job summary

Smeal, a REV Group brand, is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our manufacturing team in Snyder, NE. You will cut, bend, join, and install pipes and valves, reading drawings and measuring with precision to ensure leak-free systems.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of plumbing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to operate common hand and power tools. Drug and background checks are required for employment.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1-2 years of plumbing experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read plumbing drawings within 90 days.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools.
• Able to communicate professionally and work in a team.
• Successful completion of drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and threading pipes with pipe cutters and threading machine.
• Bend pipes to required angles using bending tools or by hand.
• Join pipes with fittings and caulk joints.
• Assemble and install valves and pipe fittings.
• Fill pipe systems with water or air and check for leaks with gauges.

What a day in the life of a Plumber at REV looks like:

• Cutting and threading pipes using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe threading machine
• Bend pipes to the required angle by using a pipe bending machine or by bending by hand
• Join pipes by using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints
• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes
• Fill pipe systems with water or air and read pressure gauges to check for system leaks

Required education, skills, and experience to be successful:

• Preferred 1-2 years of plumbing experience
• Preferred high school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings within the first 90 days of employment.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements
• Ability to use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, and screw guns
• Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Successful completion of the drug and background screening
