Job summary

Smeal, a REV Group brand, is hiring a Welder to perform MIG and TIG welding, read blueprints, and maintain welding equipment in a manufacturing setting in Snyder, NE.

The role requires basic shop math, tape measure proficiency, and the ability to work in a team. Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must read blueprints and perform shop math to layout, fabricate, and weld parts.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and perform precise measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding (GMAW) and TIG welding (GTAW) per procedures.
• Set up welding machine, adjust settings, feeds, and gas as required.
• Weld aluminum and stainless steel where required.
• Inspect welds for cracks, burn-through, and Spatter; grind and clean areas as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment (tips, liners, etc.) and ensure proper machine setup.
• Stay current in TPM and basic mechanical adjustments on equipment.
• Follow hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures.

A Day in the Life of a Welder at REV:

• Perform all GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG welding procedures including machine settings, bottles, and necessary fittings.
• Welding Aluminum and set up and maintaining welding machine (tip, liner, changes, etc.) and welding vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
• Inspect welds for cracks, burn-through, and weld spatter.
• Welding of aluminum and stainless steel where required.
• Grind and clean areas where required.
• Stay current in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and basic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed.
• Follow hazardous waste disposal program and fire prevention procedures.

Required education, skills, and experience to be successful:

• Preferred 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
• Must read blueprints, engineering drawings and perform shop math to layout, fabricate, and weld various parts and assemblies.
• Must process knowledge and experience in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG Welding machine.

• Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Successful completion of the drug and background screening
