Job summary

ProAmpac in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (3pm–11:30pm). The role focuses on keeping facilities and equipment running, following GMP and PPE rules, and supporting production operations.

You will troubleshoot hydraulic systems, perform electrical, plumbing and painting tasks, repair production equipment, and order parts as needed. Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to emergencies is required.

Qualifications

• General maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems and related components.
• Electrical, plumbing and painting tasks as required on the plant floor.
• Knowledge of safety practices and GMP compliance in a maintenance role.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Plant and Safety Rules, GMP, and wear PPE at all times.
• General maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and related components.
• Perform electrical, plumbing and painting tasks as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, compressors, boiler, and ancillary systems.
• Research, select and order parts and supplies as necessary.
• Work varying shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies as required.
• Maintain belt, drive, sheave, chain and other power transmission systems.

Rate: $28 USD per hour

Description

This position is for 2nd shift 3pm - 11:30pm

• Follow all Plant and Safety Rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) always.

• General Maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment

• General knowledge to troubleshoot hydraulic systems

• Performs a variety of work including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, painting tasks

• Performs troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment, compressors, boiler and all other ancillary equipment

• Works with other Maintenance and production employees to troubleshoot problems

• Research, select and order parts and supplies as necessary.

• Ability to work varying shifts, times, weekends and possible emergency situations

• All other work as deemed appropriate by Supervisor, Manager, or Lead employees

• Mechanical: General knowledge and troubleshooting skills for belts, drives, sheaves, chain, etc. any other general power transmission system

• Safety: Knowledge of safety practices within maintenance field
