Job summary

Sibelco's High Purity Quartz Operations in Spruce Pine, NC is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Day Shift. You will supervise site production activities, ensure safe practices, and drive continuous improvement to meet schedules and customer specs.

Together, we can shape the future.As a part of the High Purity Quartz Operations Team the Production Supervisor role will supervise, optimize and continuously improve the production activities in the site by taking into account the local regulations, rules, permits, and the agreed cost budget.Your Impact in This RoleAs a Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:· Supervise the production activities in the site and ensure the activities are performed in a safe and healthy way.· Ensure activities are performed according to the production schedule by aligning with the production scheduler and if needed with production manager/operations manager when problems arise and/or the production schedule cannot be met.· Strive to obtain the optimal balance between customer demands and specifications in relation to quality, quantity, efficiency, and cost.· Motivate and evaluate the team members to enhance team collaboration and support their individual development and growth.What You Bring to the Table· Sibelco prioritizes safety with 'Get to Zero,' our global safety improvement program. Eliminating injuries is our goal, centered on safe plants, systems, and behaviors.· Previous experience operating within a mineral processing or similar work environment is preferred.· Experience with leading people and teams is preferred.· Proficient in English.
