Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a maintenance technician for a 3rd shift, onsite role in Rosemount, MN, Monday through Friday 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. You will repair and maintain machinery, equipment, facilities and systems while coordinating with teams to minimize downtime.

2–4 years of manufacturing experience on similar equipment are preferred. An Associate degree is preferred, with exposure to Lean Six Sigma, ISO/SQF and related continuous improvement initiatives valued.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing experience on same or similar equipment.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, ASQ and ISO/SQF is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair & maintain machinery, equipment, facilities, systems & grounds.
• Timely process work orders/requests, prioritizing most critical repairs.
• Work closely with maintenance, management, internal customers and other departments.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and safety systems.
• Coordinate with internal and external specialists when more complex work is needed.
• Schedule maintenance, repairs and installations to minimize disruptions.
• Report on and update management and systems on projects, status, schedules, changes.
• Comply with safety, operational and employment policies and practices.
• Ensure team follows safety, quality, GMP, 5S and cleaning procedures.
• Train and mentor employees; seek opportunities to improve practices.

• Pay or shift range: $27.90 USD to $41.04 USD
  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

This is a 3rd shift, onsite position in Rosemount, MN. Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:00am.

Essential Duties and Tasks

• Repair & maintain machinery, equipment, facilities, systems & grounds
• Timely process work orders/requests, prioritizing most critical repairs
• Work closely with maintenance, management, internal customers and other departments
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance which may include mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire systems, interior and exterior areas. This is not a full list there may be other areas of responsibility
• Coordinate with specialists internal and external when more complex work is needed
• Schedules maintenance, repairs and installations to minimize disruptions when possible
• Report on and update management and systems on projects, status, schedules, completion changes
• Comply with all Safety, Operational and Employment policies and practices.
• Ensure team is following protocols pertaining to safety, quality, production, documentation, reports, good manufacturing practices, 5S compliance and cleaning procedures.
• Seek out opportunities to improve established manufacturing practices and become a sounding board for employee concerns. Anticipate inefficiencies and bring constructive solutions
• Train and mentor employees
• Understand machine requirements for effective and efficient operations.
• Understand defects to assist in rectifying issues.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education and Experience

• Associates degree preferred
• 2 - 4 years manufacturing experience on same or similar equipment.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, Quality ISO/SQF, Continuous Improvement a plus.
• Ability to manage moderately complex issues and problems.
• Experience with cross-functional teams.
• Solid working knowledge of maintenance processes and related manufacturing.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
• Exceptional time management and organization skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations).
• Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
• Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
