Job summary

Bally's Corporation in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to keep the property safe, functional and welcoming for guests. You will perform preventive and routine maintenance, repair and replace gaming table layouts, manage HVAC/alarm/generator systems, and handle painting, plumbing and electrical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, following company policies, assisting with regulatory compliance, and adapting to a dynamic hospitality

Qualifications

• Gaming industry experience preferred.
• Professional demeanor with guests and team members.
• Excellent teamwork and guest service, written and verbal communication skills.
• Two years maintenance experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build guest relations across shifts, making guests feel welcome.
• Maintain and repair facilities, identify maintenance deficiencies.
• Repair and replace gaming table layouts per supervisor instructions.
• Know HVAC, alarm, and generator systems and diagnose deficiencies.
• Perform painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and related maintenance tasks.
• Create and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain knowledge of guest alcohol policies and company procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly; comply with policies.
• Handle guest complaints and incidents, escalating when needed.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
• Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities on property and the property itself. Identify deficiencies related to maintenance of such facilities.
• Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing gaming table layouts with instructions provided by a supervisor.
• Knowledge of the HVAC system, alarm system, and generators. Identify and diagnose deficiencies with the system and take measures to correct deficiencies.
• Identify the need for and perform Mid-level to advanced level Painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property.
• Assist with creating Preventative maintenance schedule and follow such schedule.
• Have knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
• Handle routine guest complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.

Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL EFFORTS

• The hospitality industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation.
• This position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor climates
• Required to walk and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and controls;
• reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend; climb; and talk and hear. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting. The team member may lift and/or move up to 250 pounds with assistance. The team member will

Target Hourly Rate

$17.36 per hour

Requirements

• Gaming industry experience is preferred.
• Must have a professional demeanor and presence with the ability to interact with guests and team members in the Company.
• Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, guest service, written and verbal communication skills.
• Two years maintenance experience is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
