Job summary

Thomas & Reed, LLC is seeking a Technician L2 to perform high temperature chassis dynamometer tests, assist with instrumentation installation, and support vehicle testing at ADC Raymond OH onsite. This 12-month assignment may extend, with overtime and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Two year degree in electronics or automotive field is required.
• Experience with data acquisition hardware and software is preferred.
• Strong vehicle instrumentation and testing aptitude.

Responsibilities

• High temperature chassis dynamometer test and prep.
• Assist with installation of thermocouples and harnesses for data acquisition.
• Assist in part changes during chassis dynamometer testing.
• Hot weather field testing and extreme temperature testing prep.
• Prepare vehicles for offsite testing with instrumentation checks.
• Operate data acquisition hardware on tests and on public roads when needed.
• Support wiring, harness construction, and test equipment maintenance.
• Assist engineers with testing and vehicle preps as needed.

Location ADC Raymond OH Onsite 5 days Duration 12 months extensions

Responsibilities

• High temperature chassis dynamometer test and prep
• Assist with installation of thermocouples on a wide variety of automobile components installing harnesses data acquisition and vehicle mockup using prototype parts this will be 90 of time
• Assist in part changes during chassis dynamometer testing
• Hot weather field testing
• Prepare vehicles for offsite testing in extreme temperature locations This will include installation of new parts thermocouple installation data acquisition installation and pre test equipment checks
• Assist engineer with test by driving or operating data acquisition on public roads
• Make part changes for testing as needed
• Water fording test and setup
• Prepare for test by using setup sheet and installing any instrumentation as necessary
• May be asked to perform the testing after proper training
• Snow ingress prep and test This will include preparing vehicles with part changes and performing tests
• Electronics Capability of designing constructing and repairing wire harnesses for testing Maintaining test equipment
• Assist with other testing and vehicle preps as needed
