GRDA is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technician Lead-HVAC at its Grand River Energy Center (GREC), located just thirty (30) miles east of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Technician Lead-HVAC provides leadership, direction, and technical expertise to a multidisciplinary maintenance team responsible for power generation facilities.
As part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team, provides HVAC support for the execution of preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance of power-generation assets. Coordinates and executes scheduled maintenance activities using both internal and external resources to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operation of assigned equipment. Such equipment will include, but not limited to building HVAC units of various sizes, chiller units for combustion turbine, plant ventilation fans/louvers/heaters, plant chiller systems, plant air handlers.
The preferred applicant will have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience performing skilled maintenance as an HVAC Technician at a generation or large industrial facility and completion of a two-year course of study in a technical discipline at a recognized trade, technical or vocational school, or accredited college, or a combination of education/experience.
Additional preference given for training and direct experience with advanced class combustion turbine chiller systems.
Valid Oklahoma driver's license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver's license that are an Oklahoma resident.
Must be able to walk, climb stairs, crawl, work from ladders and elevated platforms.
Must not have a fear of heights, confined spaces, or working around high voltage equipment.
Ability to lift, move, and carry weights of up to 50 lb. on an irregular basis.
Must possess mental, visual, and auditory acuity for attention to visual and auditory detail.
Manual dexterity is required for operation of test equipment, small tools, and the installation, adjustment, and repair of control devices.
Work locations range from an office environment to outdoors and/or indoors in a high noise/high temperature environment with work possible in confined spaces. Emergency repair work may be required during system upsets.
