Job summary

AllCom Global Services / STRANTECH is seeking a field technician to install and test onsite telecommunications infrastructure under the Service Contract Act. The role requires hands-on work and good judgment.

You will follow Lead Technicians and Site Managers, travel 100% of the time, and must obtain a Defense Department security clearance. Pre-employment drug and background checks apply. Physically capable work includes climbing ladders up to 25 feet and lifting loads up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of telecommunication infrastructure installation experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some level of job-related certification generally obtained for this level of knowledge and skill.
• Ability to travel out of town 100% of the time.
• Ability to secure and maintain Defense Department Security Clearance.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (drug and background) and have a valid driver's license.

Job description

SCA Position: This position is subject to the Service Contract Act (SCA). Compensation will be provided in accordance with the applicable Department of Labor Wage Determination, including required wages and fringe benefits.

JOB SUMMARY

Perform wide variety of activities associated with onsite installation of telecommunications infrastructure. Expected to rely on judgment and experience to plan and accomplish tasks. Works under general supervision and may provide limited direction or assistance to Technician I and II.
