Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co., LLC in Texas is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our Buda shop. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain construction equipment rental fleet, ensuring safety and reliability. This role offers weekly pay and overtime with a schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years experience as diesel mechanic, rental background preferred.
• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience repairing diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.
• Must bring tools valued at $5,000+.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment to manufacturer specs.

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience and discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus

Location: This role will be based in our shop in Buda, TX with the occasional need to maintenance or repair equipment in the field.

Required Skills & Experience

• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required.
• Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $5,000+ in value.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
• Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
