Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America is seeking a Technician II to install, start up, and service integrated security systems at customer sites in Seattle. You will collaborate with Field Engineers, train apprentices, and ensure compliance with electrical codes while maintaining thorough documentation.

The role requires license eligibility, blueprints/schematics reading, and strong teamwork to deliver on Bosch commitments. Travel to job sites and some overtime are expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory.
  • EL06 Limited Energy License (WA) required; candidates nearing licensure and able to provide a valid EL06 Limited Energy License training card will be considered.
  • CCure or Avigilon certification or experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics with 1 year of experience.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite with 1 year of experience.
  • Aptitude for learning system programming with 1 year of experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects at the site level and mentor junior technicians.

  • Ensure safety and professionalism in all tasks.

Job description

Job Summary

This Technician II position will provide efficient and high-quality installations related to integrated security systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing startup, installation, closeout and service of jobs; assisting in design and other tasks as assigned while delivering on Bosch Building Technologies commitments.

Responsibilities
  • Installs, terminates and tests equipment as per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and/or electrical codes.
  • Responsible for training apprentices on Company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
  • Work with Field Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance.
  • Daily communications with Installation Supervisor on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs to ensure delivery of the project.
  • Work with Installation Supervisor to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department.
  • Repair, restore and test all systems per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and/or electrical codes.
  • Accurate written record keeping, submitted on time and complete.
  • Maintain professional licensing as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
  • Support, lead, and mentor team members.
  • Design systems and layout.
  • Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism.
  • Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment screening.
  • Minimum 3‑5 years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory.
  • EL06 Limited Energy License (WA) required; candidates nearing licensure and able to provide a valid EL06 Limited Energy License (WA) training card will be considered.
  • CCure or Avigilon certification or experience.
  • Experience with system programming, system troubleshooting and understanding hardware architecture.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
  • Aptitude for learning system programming as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree (2 year) in a technical capacity.
  • 3+ years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory.
  • Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
  • Ability to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to function as an effective team member.
  • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m.
Working Conditions

In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.
Additional Information
  • Compensation: $40.00 - $46.00/hour (DOE)
  • Working Hours: This position generally works Monday-Friday, overtime and on call when necessary.
  • Travel Requirements: Some travel required.
