Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America seeks a Technician II to perform efficient installations and startup of integrated security systems. The role includes design work, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring project compliance with safety and codes.

You will collaborate with field engineers and supervisory staff to deliver quality service. The position requires 3–5 years in electronics, relevant certifications, and ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in electronics with daily use of AC/DC theory.
  • CCure or Avigilon certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with system programming, troubleshooting, and understanding hardware architecture.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
  • Aptitude for learning system programming as evidenced by 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for training apprentices on company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.

  • Work with Installation Supervisor to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to client and service department.
  • Repair, restore and test all systems per specifications and in conjunction with building and electrical codes.
  • Maintain accurate written records submitted on time and complete.
  • Maintain professional licensing as required by state and local jurisdictions.
  • Support, lead, and mentor team members.
  • Design systems and layouts.
  • Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism.
  • Lead projects at a site level, managing a team of junior technicians as necessary.

Job description

Job Summary This Technician II position will provide efficient and high-quality installations related to integrated security systems. Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment screening.
  • Minimum 3–5 years working in the electronics field with daily use of AC/DC theory.
  • CCure or Avigilon certification or experience.
  • Experience with system programming, troubleshooting, and understanding hardware architecture.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
  • Aptitude for learning system programming as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree (2 years) in a technical capacity.
  • 3+ years working in the electronics field with daily use of AC/DC theory.
  • Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
  • Ability to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to function as an effective team member.
  • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, type on keyboard, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Use of power tools required.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to work at heights over 1.8 m.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, job sites, and occasional travel to and from sites.
  • Occasional operation of construction equipment and exposure to moderate noise.
  • May require confined space entry and high work.
Additional Information

Compensation: $26 ph – $35 ph (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, overtime and on‑call when necessary.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required.
