Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. in Woodinville, WA is seeking a diesel mechanic to keep construction equipment and our delivery fleet running safely and efficiently.

You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs, diagnose diesel and gas engines, troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and may occasionally deliver equipment or parts to other technicians. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7 AM–4 PM with OT as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, ideally with construction equipment background.
• Experience with diagnostics and repairs, not just preventative maintenance.
• Experience using diagnostic software and tools.
• Strong attention to quality control and pride in workmanship.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Responsibilities

This role consists of ensuring our equipment is up and running safely and smoothly. This means performing regular preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of construction equipment and delivery vehicle fleet in the branch location. You’ll also troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, ignition, and pneumatic systems, diagnose diesel and gas engines, and perform maintenance on drive trains. You may also occasionally deliver equipment or parts to other technicians.

Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7AM-4PM OT depending on business needs
