Job summary

Hallmark Hyundai Birmingham in Birmingham, AL is seeking experienced Automotive Line Technicians to join our service department. We’re looking for proven A and B level technicians who are productive, dependable, mechanically strong, and take pride in quality workmanship.

We also welcome motivated apprentices serious about developing their skills for a long-term career in automotive service. Hallmark Hyundai offers competitive pay based on experience and certifications, a sign-on bonus negotiable

Qualifications

• Experienced automotive line technicians with A and B level qualifications.
• Apprentices welcome with strong mechanical aptitude and work ethic.
• Hyundai dealership experience is a plus.

• Ability to diagnose problems and perform quality repairs.

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidates are experienced Automotive Technicians / Line Technicians who can diagnose problems, perform quality repairs, work efficiently, and take ownership of their work.

A and B level technicians are encouraged to apply.

We are also willing to consider an apprentice-level technician who demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, a great work ethic, reliability, and a genuine desire to learn.

Hyundai dealership experience is a plus, but experienced technicians from other automotive brands are absolutely encouraged to apply.

ASE certifications and manufacturer training are valued, and Hallmark Hyundai provides significant opportunities to pursue additional Hyundai certifications and factory training.

• No supervisory responsibility
• Tasks are multiple and diverse with some interrelationship across processes.
• Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents.
• There is some budget responsibility and expenditure authority.
• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation.
• Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems.
• Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments.
• Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies and practices.
• Refers unusual problems to supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work involves frequent exposure to unpleasant elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, chemicals, etc.
• Position requires continuous moderate or occasional heavy physical activity which includes 15% walking, 50% standing, 10% lifting, 10% pulling, 10% pushing, and 5% sitting.
