Job summary

Dollar Tree is hiring a Maintenance Technician I for our Berwick, PA Distribution Center. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of conveyors, building systems, and electrical/controls equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will perform diagnostics, operate material handling equipment, and maintain documentation while supporting a team that values reliability and quality. Evening hours, potential overtime, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Coursework or certification in electronic technology or 3 years industrial maintenance in electronic tech, including troubleshooting automated equipment
• PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on industrial electrical experience (480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, 24 VDC)
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial control devices/networking
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to leadership
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment including lift trucks, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, dock equipment and control electronics
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic problems with equipment, networks, PLCs, and I/O devices
• Diagnose electrical problems using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Assist other maintenance technicians and implement new procedures to maintain equipment efficiency
• Maintain organized work area and promote a safe environment within Maintenance

Pay Range: $23.50-29.00 per hour, plus a $2.00/hour shift differential.

About Your Role:

As a Maintenance Technician I at Dollar Tree's Distribution Center, you'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, building systems, machinery, and electrical/controls equipment. You'll help ensure that all equipment operates at peak efficiency while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Maintenance & Equipment Support:

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, andelectrical/electronicsystems
• Troubleshoot and repair complexelectrical/electronicproblems with equipment, networks, logic controls, PLCs, motor drives (Servo and VFD), and external I/O devices
• Diagnose electricalproblems using technical drawings (blueprints, schematics) and diagnostic tools (multi-meter, laptop)
• Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment
• Initiate and implement new procedures or designsto maintain equipmentefficiency
• Maintain organized work area and promote a safe working environment within the Maintenance department

Documentation & Communication:

• Complete work orders, records, logs, and other documentation according to established procedures
• Communicate technical issues effectively to associates, leadership, and suppliers to minimize equipment downtime
• Ensure workmanship meets the highest quality standards

Equipment Operation:

• Operate material handling equipment, battery-powered equipment, and other powered machinery safely
• Maintain a customer service-oriented approach while addressing technical issues

Your Required Skills and Experience:

• Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology OR 3 years industrial maintenance experience in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment)
• PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on industrial electrical experience, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial controldevices/networking
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to business leadership
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in electronic technology with 2 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience
• Experience maintaining automatedequipment in a distribution center environment
