Job summary

Soundair Aviation Services is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on commercial aircraft components. You will work to ensure orders are completed to the Repair Group's standards and procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (related college courses or an associate degree preferred) and at least two years of related experience. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related college courses or an associate degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and technical data.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on commercial aircraft components.
• Ensure work is performed to Repair Group standards and procedures.
• Record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance documentation.
• Research and verify that technical data and manuals are current and applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview of the Position:

Perform maintenance on commercial aircraft components. Works to ensure that customer orders are completed within the Repair Group's standards and procedures by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Qualified on several units and can work independently.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with the operations policy and procedure, including daily verification that all aircraft related material in area is properly identified, maintained, preserved, and segregated.
• Ensure the data being used to perform maintenance and alteration tasks is current per the repair station requirements.
• Record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.
• Perform the necessary research to assure that technical data and manuals are current and appropriate for associated tasks.
• Other duties that may be assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Prefer some related college courses, certificate or associate degree. Minimum two years' related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
