Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks a Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of equipment in a safety-focused environment.

The role offers exposure to Aerial Work Platforms, pumps, HVAC and more across locations, with strong opportunities for career growth in service or operations management. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED plus 1–3 years of technician experience with diesel or heavy equipment, and a willingness to work with varied machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred
• May need to provide tools of trade
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and make repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime
• Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment
• Our specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment
