Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology is seeking a Technician I to join the Phoenix, AZ site. The role involves performing basic mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies in a controlled environment to ensure product integrity through leak testing and detailed work instructions.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1+ year cleanroom/manufacturing experience, and a willingness to learn. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings are valued.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some technician coursework or AA degree preferred.
  • 1+ year of related experience in manufacturing/cleanroom environment.
  • Helium leak testing and module/subassembly testing experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information and follow directions.
  • Basic mechanical skills and use of hand/power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus; good communicator.
  • Read engineering drawings, schematics, or blueprints desired.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble basic mechanical components and sub-assemblies.
  • Perform leak tests and standard testing procedures.
  • Operate hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
  • Read and interpret work instructions to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with management and teammates on the floor.

UCT is looking for a talented Technician I to join us in Phoenix, AZ!

The Cleanroom Technician I performs basic mechanical and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools in a controlled environment. This role ensures product integrity through leak testing, standard troubleshooting, and adherence to detailed work instructions. By maintaining high quality standards and fostering clear communication on the production floor, the technician supports efficient operations and contributes to the delivery of reliable, high-performance products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Performs basic mechanical assemblies & sub-assemblies.
  • Must be able to leak test.
  • Operates hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
  • Reads and interprets work instructions to ensure accuracy of work performed.
  • Interacts with management and team members to encourage effective communication on the production floor.
  • Performs standard testing and minor troubleshooting.
  • Ensures quality standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Attendance is an essential duty of the position.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Related experience in a non-manufacturing environment considered.
  • Cable and Harness assembly experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information and follow directions.
  • Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform basic and repetitive assembly operations as required.
  • General knowledge of operating hand tools, portable power tools, and bench tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality-focused, and willing to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to operate computer terminals and general software applications.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints desired.
Educational/Certification Requirement
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Some technician coursework and/or AA technical degree or equivalent experience.
Work Experience
  • 1 + years of related experience working in a manufacturing/cleanroom environment.
  • Experience in helium leak testing, module, and subassembly testing, and inspection a plus.
Work Environment
