Job summary

UCT is seeking a Chemline Technician II in Phoenix, AZ to perform chemical and manual processing of parts, ensuring safety and environmental compliance in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical field coursework preferred.
  • AA degree in a technical field or some college is preferred.
  • Kaizen/Lean training is a major plus.
  • Quality Assurance experience is beneficial.
  • Experience in the parts cleaning industry or semiconductor environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process parts using chemical and manual cleaning methods.
  • Follow SOPs, Lean manufacturing processes, and company policies.
  • Complete training on assigned processes.
  • Maintain daily organization of the process area.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and training programs.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals safely and dispose of them properly.
  • Report progress and achieve task goals with effective time management.
  • Maintain safety and environmental awareness in all activities.

UCTis looking for a talented Chemline Technician IIto join us inPhoenix, AZ!

The Technician II performs chemical and manual processing of parts, including cleaning, masking, coating, and operating equipment to meet production standards. This role ensures compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations while handling hazardous materials. It supports continuous improvement through organization, task management, and process training. By maintaining a clean, safe work area and adhering to SOPs, the Technician II contributes to efficient operations and high-quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process parts utilizing both chemical and manual cleaning methods.
  • May perform receiving, processing, wiping, scrubbing, masking, chemical processing, machine operating, etching, blasting, coating, drying, baking, and other processes, as needed.
  • Follows all SOPs, Lean manufacturing processes, company policies, and practices.
  • Complete training on assigned processes.
  • Perform daily organization and upkeep of assigned process area.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and training programs.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals correctly and safely. Follow all policies and directions for safe use of and proper disposal of hazardous chemicals.
  • Participation and adherence to safety program and completion of various pieces of training.
  • Must have exceptional skills at organizing tasks, efficiently managing their time, and the ability to report out achieved task goals.
  • Maintain a high degree of safety and environmental awareness through the practice of safe work habits.
  • Seeks to advance skills and learn new processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to handle repetitive work and provide fast turn-around on production related to masking, wiping, processing parts.
  • Good verbal and written communications.
  • Computer literate, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including some weekend and evening work.
  • Must be able to wear work area gowning: hairnet and frock.
  • Maintain a high degree of safety and environmental awareness through the practice of safe work habits and 6S.
  • Ability to take SPC measurements and log data.
Educational/Certification:
  • High School Diploma/GED or related field preferred.
  • AA degree in a technical field or some college preferred.
Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

  • 1-year experience in manufacturing processes or materials.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience preferred.
  • Experience in parts cleaning and coating technologies is desired.
  • Kaizen or Lean training is a major plus.
  • Quality Assurance experience.
  • Previous experience in the parts cleaning industry is a major plus.
  • High-Tech or Semiconductor experience.
