Job summary

TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, seeks a Technician I to join our Arlington, Texas team. This role performs on-site or in-house servicing, repair and installation of company products.

You will install IP cameras, network equipment, detectors, and controller cabinets; troubleshoot electrical and data cables; document work orders and use in-house software. A high school diploma is required; an Associate degree desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree desirable.
• Repair and electronics troubleshooting skills expected.
• Basic Microsoft Windows/Server knowledge and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Installs equipment including IP cameras, antennas, detectors, and network equipment.
• Troubleshoots electrical and data conductors; tests devices and documents work orders.
• Uses in-house software to diagnose system issues and perform maintenance.
• Connects power and data to equipment; ensures proper cable terminations.

Technician I (Finance)

TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a Technician I to join our team in Arlington, Texas.

Job Summary: This Technician I position performs on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installation of company product(s). This job may include any aspect of field support and installation, and is not limited to electrical, data, and fiber optic cable installation; conduit and pull box installation; troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment, systems, and wiring; installation of equipment; upgrades, modifications, programming; preventive maintenance actions; documentation. Determines most effective means to install equipment to maximize efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Installs equipment including but not limited to IP based cameras, antennas, detectors, network equipment, controller cabinets.
• Install and troubleshoot electrical conductors, data conductors, fiber optic cables.
• Uses in-house software to troubleshoot system issues.
• Terminates conductors to equipment including CAT6 cables.
• Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
• Tests multiple devices to ensure they work correctly.
• Enters detailed information on electronic work orders.

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates Degree desirable.
