Job summary

Cool Air Mechanical, part of TurnPoint Services, seeks an experienced HVAC Service Technician for residential and light commercial systems in the Atlanta area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and ductless systems, delivering safe, high-quality service.

The role requires EPA Universal Certification, 3+ years of field experience, and strong customer communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential or light commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• HVAC trade school certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficient in diagnosing HVAC equipment and reading diagrams/schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, AC, heat pumps, and ductless units.
• Perform routine maintenance, safety inspections, and tune-ups.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues efficiently.
• Recommend repairs or replacements and explain options to customers.
• Ensure work complies with manufacturer specs, codes, and company standards.
• Maintain service records, parts usage, and documentation.

Role Overview

Technician HVAC Service (2025-1157)

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in residential or light commercial HVAC service (required).
• EPA Universal Certification (required).
• HVAC trade school certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficient in diagnosing HVAC equipment and reading wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, safety inspections, and system tune‑ups.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues efficiently and accurately.
• Recommend repairs, upgrades, or system replacements as needed and explain options to customers clearly.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, building codes, and company standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and parts usage logs.
• Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure timely and professional service.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours emergency service.
• Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and professional appearance.
