Role Overview
Technician HVAC Install Lead (2025-1154)
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. - Proficient in installing and commissioning residential and light commercial HVAC systems. - Strong understanding of airflow, duct design, electrical systems, and controls. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals. - EPA Universal Certification (required). - HVAC trade school certification or equivalent field experience. - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. - Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee installation of HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ventilation components. - Direct and mentor installation apprentices and helpers to ensure proper procedures and quality workmanship. - Review job plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and code compliance. - Perform equipment start-up, testing, and system balancing. - Inspect completed installations for proper operation and system performance. - Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues that arise. - Ensure all safety policies, company standards, and local regulations are followed on-site. - Maintain accurate installation records and assist with project documentation. - Monitor job site inventory and ensure proper use and care of company tools and equipment.
