Blake Brothers, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking an experienced HVAC Install Lead Technician in Huntsville, AL. You will lead residential and light commercial installations, mentor apprentices, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HVAC installation with at least 2 years in a lead role, strong leadership and communication skills, and an EPA Universal Certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC installation experience with at least 2 years in a lead/supervisory role.
• Proficient in installing and commissioning residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certification required; HVAC trade school certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee installation of HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ventilation components.
• Direct and mentor installation apprentices and helpers to ensure proper procedures and quality workmanship.
• Review job plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and code compliance.
• Perform equipment start-up, testing, and system balancing.
• Inspect completed installations for proper operation and system performance.
• Communicate with customers, project managers, and supervisors regarding progress and issues.
• Ensure safety policies and local regulations are followed on-site.
• Maintain installation records and assist with project documentation.
• Monitor job site inventory and proper use of tools and equipment.

Role Overview

Technician HVAC Install Lead (2025-1154)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Install Lead Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for leading residential and light commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent technical knowledge, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and craftsmanship.

What You Bring

5+ years of experience in HVAC installation with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Proficient in installing and commissioning residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Strong understanding of airflow, duct design, electrical systems, and controls. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals. EPA Universal Certification (required). HVAC trade school certification or equivalent field experience. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
