Job summary

Sunny Service in Texas is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician (Residential/Light Commercial) to join TurnPoint Services' family of brands. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, working with furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, and ductless units.

Requires 3+ years of HVAC service experience, EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to read wiring diagrams. Excellent communication, reliable driving record, and willingness to participate in on-call after hours rotation are

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in residential or light commercial HVAC service.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• HVAC trade school certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficient in diagnosing HVAC equipment and reading wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time management and problem solving abilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, safety inspections, and system tune-ups.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues efficiently and accurately.
• Recommend repairs, upgrades, or system replacements as needed and explain options to customers clearly.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, building codes, and company standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and parts usage logs.
• Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure timely and professional service.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service.
• Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and professional appearance.
