As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our retail store, your role will involve executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Operating under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, you'll adhere to maintenance schedules and guidelines, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairs.

Position Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in trades like plumbing, electrical, material handling, or related

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills and tools
• Use work order management system for repairs and documentation
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect and test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues
• Complete training for safe operation of equipment and tools

Compensation:

Hourly wage range: $19.00 - $35.00, based on experience and location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule or work performed.

Minimum Qualifications...

Outlined qualifications include vocational or technical trade experience, valid driver’s license, and eligibility for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Preferred Qualifications...

Optional qualifications include completion of a 2-year trade program, related trade license, and proficiency in office software.
